人は顔のどこに惹かれるのか?
What are you looking for on the faces?

概要

Face dynamic behavior analysis is essential to face animation, face recognition, emotion understanding etc. This research is challenged by two critical issues: 1. what are efficient spatialfeatures to represent dynamic behaviors, and 2. How to segment face motions from not required head motions. In order to solve these two problems, a salient motion decomposition method based on Quad-tree decomposition and Helmholtz-hodge decomposition is proposed in this paper to generate facial saliency which people may focus on the faces.

産業界への展開例・適用分野

Face is the windows of one's heart. Face detection and recognition is fast becoming a familiar feature to be widely used in industrial fields and daily life such as people's identification and verification for surveillance, face detection in handle devices e.g. cameras, PCs, mobile phones, image search on Google website, gaming for entertainment etc. The goal of this research is to improve the accuracy of current face recognition methods so that they can have better performances.
