Sound localization using prior knowledge and reflected sound for robots monitoring unseen areas

概要

This poster presents a sound source localization method designed for dealing with occluded regions. The proposed approach mimics Human's ability of guessing what is happening in the occluded regions by using prior knowledge.

This technology is useful for service robots operating in environments with occluded areas. It could also be used for surveillance robots.
